The editorial rule

Published by the maker. Then translated for the rider.

“Latest” means an official 2026/27 collection or product page was live when we checked it. SBTV’s level labels narrow that range for our beginner–intermediate audience; they are not a substitute for the maker’s weight and width tables.

Use this desk to build a shortlist. Use the Fit Lab and a real shop or demo to decide whether a specific size works with your weight, boots and bindings.

Filter by the rider you are now and the terrain you actually seek. An “advanced” tag marks a board that may include intermediates in its range but demands more deliberate technique.

12 boards shown

Burton2026/27

Cultivator Flat Top

All Mountain · True twin · Flat Top with Easy Bevel

BeginnerIntermediateFlex Soft and playful

A low-friction learning platform for riders who want one board for linked turns, switch practice and early freestyle.

Fit gate

The broad 135–165W size run covers many riders, but weight range and boot-compatible width still decide the viable size.

CAPiTA2026/27

Sidewinder

Carving · Directional · Alpine V3 Directional

IntermediateAdvancedFlex 5.5 / 10

A new-school resort carver with friendlier flex than a race-derived deck, aimed at riders ready to drive turns rather than skid them.

Fit gate

Its wide-framed, tapered carving outline needs an exact size-table check rather than a generic length recommendation.

Jones2026/27

Mountain Twin

All Mountain · Directional twin · CamRock

IntermediateFlex 6 / 10

The broad all-mountain benchmark for a progressing rider who already links turns and wants one board across resort terrain.

Fit gate

Jones publishes weight, ideal boot size, waist width and binding size for each length—use all four columns together.

Nidecker2026/27

Cheat Code

Freestyle · True twin · CamRock

BeginnerIntermediateFlex 1 / 5

The softest progression option in this desk: easy to press, friendly at the contact points and designed to make switch riding feel natural.

Fit gate

The line includes standard and wide sizes; a soft board still needs the correct weight range and enough—but not excessive—width.

Nitro2026/27

Mastercarve

Carving · Directional · Trüe Camber

IntermediateAdvancedFlex 9 / 10

The aspirational carver. It belongs in the desk for comparison, but its stiff flex makes it a deliberate step-up—not a first-board default.

Fit gate

A 255 mm mid-wide waist and stiff torsional platform reward deliberate sizing and a centred binding-and-boot setup.

Nitro2026/27

Prime Chroma Cam-Out

All Mountain · Directional twin · Cam-Out Camber

BeginnerIntermediateFlex 5 / 10

The progression pick: forgiving contact-point transitions with enough camber support to keep developing after the first turns.

Fit gate

Standard and mid-wide size runs make the exact waist-width row especially important for boot clearance.

RIDE2026/27

Agenda

Freestyle · Twin · Standard Camber

BeginnerIntermediateFlex Mellow

A value-led progression twin with mellow response for riders building turns, switch comfort and first park skills.

Fit gate

RIDE publishes standard and wide versions with waist and rider-weight rows; wider is a boot-fit decision, not an upgrade.

Burton2026/27

Instigator PurePop Camber

All Mountain · Directional · PurePop Camber

BeginnerFlex Soft

A beginner-focused directional option for riders who want catch-free progression with more conventional camber response underfoot.

Fit gate

Standard and wide sizes are published; use rider weight first, then the exact mounted boot footprint to choose between them.

CAPiTA2026/27

Spring Break Slush Slasher 2.0

Powder · Directional, volume-shifted · Surf Camber

IntermediateFlex 4 / 10

The playful powder wildcard: compact, wide and surf-inspired for soft snow, slush and creative resort laps.

Fit gate

This short-and-wide shape is intentionally downsized; use CAPiTA's size chart instead of carrying over a conventional board length.

Jones2026/27

Twin Sister

All Mountain · Directional twin · CamRock

BeginnerIntermediateFlex 6 / 10

A versatile resort progression board with enough grip, float and switch capability to stay useful well beyond first turns.

Fit gate

The 140–155 size run is tuned around lighter riders; match the exact weight and boot-size row instead of assuming a gender label determines fit.

Nitro2026/27

Phase

All Mountain · Directional · Cam-Out Camber

IntermediateFlex 6 / 10

A directional daily-driver step-up for riders moving beyond rentals into groomers, side hits and tree runs.

Fit gate

The published range is mid-wide to wide; riders with compact boots should check that the platform will still roll edge to edge comfortably.

RIDE2026/27

Psychocandy

Powder · Directional, volume-shifted · Zero Camber

IntermediateFlex Medium

A compact all-mountain and powder option for an intermediate ready to try volume-shifted geometry without an aggressive camber profile.

Fit gate

Designed to run 3–6 cm shorter than a conventional board; the broad waist must still suit the rider's real boot footprint.

Model names create interest; the exact size row decides compatibility. Take the board type into the Fit Lab, set rider weight and boot size, then inspect board width, binding fit and overhang together.
