Open the shell, give the liner air and keep concentrated heat away from foams and adhesives.

Wet boots become cold boots, tired liners and a very specific smell. Ten minutes after riding prevents most of it.
Open everything after riding
Loosen the shell, open the liner and remove the footbed if it is soaked. Brush off snow and grit before they melt into the boot. If the liner is removable, pull it out when the boot is properly wet.
Use air, not punishment
Air-dry at room temperature with space around the liner and shell. A low-temperature boot dryer is useful; direct heaters, clothes dryers and very hot air can deform foam, weaken adhesives and shrink heat-moulded liners.
- No radiator contact
- No clothes dryer
- Dry footbeds separately
- Let both boots finish before packing
Clean lightly and inspect
Follow the maker’s care instructions. Wipe the shell and outsole with a damp cloth, use mild treatment only when approved, and let odour products dry completely. Check laces, BOA cables and dials, liner seams, outsole wear and any Step On or Clicker connection points.

Once fully dry, put the liner and footbed back in, close the boot lightly and keep it upright in a cool, dry place. Do not leave boots compressed under a board bag all summer.

Thin snowboard socks
Manages moisture without adding folds or excess bulk inside a fitted boot.
Check: Use one over-the-calf pair; doubling socks can reduce circulation and control.
